Wanderers 30- Final Day
The letter reached the
settlement without any delay and Ajabde was more than happy to receive the
letter.
“Ranaji hum jante te ki
aap humare liye hum sabke liye Chittor wapas jeetenge….hume aap par garv hai…”
“Hum likhenge patra
apke liye…”
She wrote the letter
and filled her heart with words on the letter. The war was causing issues but a
single letter soothed her to core.
The night went
peacefully with calmness around but it also indicated disaster. The next
morning rose with brightness and with new hope. All the warriors gathered in
the arena for the fight.
The Rajputs without
plan reached the field but Mughals did bother to plan and decided to have
Chetak killed to make Pratap depressed.
The day began with all
fighting vigorously and having the soldiers on either side dead but the real
game began after the sun reaching the north.
As planned Maan Sigh
sat high above the elephant and aimed a spear on Chetak. The weapon directly
reached Chetak and Chetak fell down but rose like a loyal friend. The war
continued with Chetak injured but that day marked Chetak’s bad luck and
Pratap’s sadness and the thought of revenge..
The war ended with a
sad note for the Rajputs and a happy note for Mughals, they were happy that
Pratap’s loyal horse will die that night. They were so happy that Pratap will
be mourning and will not come the war the next day and they would win the war.
Chetak was a very loyal
friend to the king, helped the king in h=all ways from friendship to
protection. Chetak was aanimal but he was more smart and intelligent that the
animals and his loyalty could not be compared.
Theat night though
Chetak did not die but his wounded body pounded in pain, he was not able to
stand upright or carry load for his fore leg was hurt. But Chetak’s self-confidence
and will power led him to return as a strong opposition the next day seeking
for revenge.
The next morning was
not a pretty well one but Pratap made sure that Chetak did not even get a
bruise. He at first place elephant safety shield on Chetak and covered his
wound. He did not forget to handle him carefully.
The warriors reached
the battlefield and they found happiness on the Mughal’s face marking that they
were happy thinking Chetak was dead. In fact he was not; the Rajputs did show
neither happiness nor sadness.
Maan Singh was shocked
to find Pratap on the war zone without mourning. This issue did bother him but
he did not consider finding out. That day, Mughals faced tough time and only in
the afternoon did they find out about Chetak. When Pratap came to fight, his
horse moved swiftly like Chetak and Maan Singh figured it out that Chetak was
still alive.
Then the Mughals
constantly attacked the horse to push it to death. Pratap was n less, he too
attacked them but they were more in number in their side of fight where he was
stuck around with them. He still some extent fought but then he knew nothing
else and started saving Chetak by taking all the arrows on himself.
Chetak could not bear
to see all this and rode back to their side with most devotion and patriotism.
The Rajputs on seeing the two important people of the war were terrified and
they decided to send them to a save place.
“Hum chahte hai ki abhi
ke abhi Rana ji ko yaha se durr le jaya jaye…”
“Guru thik keh rahe
hai…rana ke bina yudha hi kaisa??”
“Aur agar rana jeewit
rahe toh yudh punah ladha jaa sakta hai…”
“Parantu hum nahi
jayenge!!”
“Rana ji aap jayiye…”
“Nahi…agar hum aisa
karenge toh woh Maan Singh hume dhokebaaz kahenga aur hum…”
“Rana ji hum banege
aap!!!”
“Aap??”
“Hum apke tarah dikte
hai…aur unn Mughal ko yeh pata toh nahi chalega ki ladne wala kaun hai…agar hum
apke pagdi pehen le toh…”
“Parantu…”
“Yeh aap kya kar rahe
haai hai??”
“Humne apki pagdi utaar
di hai…”
“Aap jayiye abhi…Chetak
unhe le jayiye…”
Thus did all save
Pratap; the look alike wore Pratap’s costume and entered the arena. Before
sunset the Mughals managed to kill the fake Pratap and declared their victory.
