Loneliness lured around in Pratap’s and Ajabde’s life. Loneliness they had never expected. Love was there but the happiness was not there. Their happiness, their life was with their son, Amar Singh who was in Udaipur. For his life and safety he was forced to stay there away from them but they at time felt their decision was not a good one. Until he had entered their life they were complete, they had everything they aspired for. Happiness was there, love was also shared and time was also there but after Amar came their happiness was in him. A day without him was not possible. But destined has to happen became their simple policy which allowed them to do their work without any disturbance. The lakeshore tent was set. Soldiers dispersed leaved the couple alone. For one last time I went into the book when I was old yet young lady. Pratap and Ajabde loved eachother equally even when Ajabde had to share her husband with others. She was happy wife and a lover. They still lived in the same hut in the same place. They spent the same amount of time toghether as before. Only difference was that now she was a mother and not only a wife. Their symbol of love, their bundle of joy was Amar and was a teen busy preparing himself for the war along with his father. The royal family ahd joined them and Dheer Bai got a death she deserved. She was killed by her only ally, Akbar, after he felt she was of no use. Udai Singh died after the sieze of Chittor. The wait was over and I was to go to meet my ancestors for the last time and I would never know the rest of their love life or any thing. That was the last time. I was left in the wonder, warrior and love world. The next morning was a hustle-bustle one. Ajabde got ready for her fast. She did her pooja and got ready in her wedding clothes as instructed. She went to the kitchen and made some Kheer for Pratap as told. Phool too came and made ghewar for Shakti. Both together went together to the temple where many had already gathered. They sat on their place as instructed. Soon all the gents also joined. They went and sat beside their bride. It was evening by then all were waiting for the fast to break.
