Wanderers Chapter1- Introduction
Major loss of the royal
family was the loss of Chittorgarh, place of vast antiquity ranging from the
continuous invasion by foreign as well as Indian conquers to the sacrifice of
lakhs of women in the fire to the stories of brave and valiant rulers was
buried in this fort.
The fort of histories
attacked and confiscated by the Mughal ruler Akbar laid in ruins after the
departure of the royal family along with the crown prince. After escaping in
secrecy from the fort the family with no resources the family reached Udaipur.
Headed by the then king Rana Udai Singh the family set their base there. Kunwar
Pratap refused to take shelter there to follow his oath and so headed towards
Gondwana accompanied by his chief consort and his ranis. He took the
responsibility of regaining his fort very soon.
He established his base
there in the dense jungle. Under disguise all were feeling difficulties but
Ajabde was an exception who adapted to it easily. Pratap being a prince to the
throne and the one with many accomplished missions was used to all this. Being
in disguise reminded him of many things. First thing to recall was the steep
turn in his life.
He was camouflaged as a
priest when he was busy buying bangles in the core of the city of Bijolia.
Another face veiled hid behind a pillar but the eyes of this warrior did not
miss out the other face. Her doe eyed eyes were seen on the curve of the
bangle. The beauty of her simplicity touched his heart. He lost his heart to
her.
After reaching the
Bijolia palace he found out that the doe eyed girl who stole his heart was none
other than the samanth putri of Bijolia, Ajabde Panwar.
“Kunwar Pratap....”
“Ji”
“Aap kaha koye hue hai”
“Ajab hum toh apmein

“Kya”
“Humara matlab apke aur

“Accha”
“Waise apko koi kaam

“Arey aap hi toh kehte
hai ki ek pati ko ek patni se ya ek patni ko ek pati se milne ke liye koi karan
nahi chahiye”
“Aur jab aap humse
milenge toh apko hume kya bulana tha??”
“Haan, hum bhul hi gaye
the ki hume apko Kunwar Pratap nahi balki Pratap bulana tha”
“Ji haan…ab bulayiye”
“Pratap daasi ne bataya

“Haan…Ajabde kya aap
humare sath aaj Bhil se milne challenge??”
“Kyu nahi Pratap”
“Toh vilamb na kare aur

“Jo hukum”
“Aur haan sabhi se keh
dijiye ki aane mein dher ho jayega”
“Ji Kunwar Pratap”
And both got ready and
proceeded towards the area ruled by the Bhils. The Bhils had always been kind
of enemies of Mewar. They were tribes living in the forests of Mewar. There had
been many attempts to convince them to be Mewar’s friend but all of them were
not successful.
