Wanderers 21- Crisis

Years flew in preparing for war. Some days were happy going while some had some sorrow news. One such was when the Mughal ruler had invaded regions of Mewar.
“Rana ji…woh Mughal ne humare Udaipur se saare bhojan saman, aata aur dal sab kareed liya hai aur…”
“Aur kya??”                 
“Aur Mewar aur puure Rajputane mein jitna aata aur daal the woh bhi kareed liya…”
“Yeh toh humare liye samasya hai…”
“Bhai Shakti aap jayiye aur Bundi ya Bijolia se abhi kuch aata aur daal la dijiye…baad  ein pata nahi kitna milenga…”
“Haan dada bhai…hum abhi jaate hai…”
Shakti went searching for food items. The tensions were more as war days began to be counted. There were so many people to be fed and feeding so many was not easy without ample supply of food.
In Bundi,
“Bhai sahib dijiye aata…100 ser…”
“Bhai yaha humare liye hi koi aata na hai aur hum apko 100 ser kaise de…humare paas hi lagbag 20 ser hi honge…”
“Kya hua ki apke paas itna kam hai??”
“Woh krud Mughal Akbar ne humse chal se 1000 ser aata aur 500 ser daal le liya…”
“Bhai sahib hume ann kaha milega??”
“Bundi mein toh nahi milega…”
“Thik hai dhanyawad…”
In Bijolia,
“Bhai sahib hume 100 ser aata dijiye…”
“Bhai yaha sirf 50 ser aata hai…”
“Toh hume 40 ser aata dijiye…”
“Thik hai lekin daam zayda hoga…”
“Chalega…”
“Aur daal hume 20 ser dijiye…”
Thik hai lijiye…”
Shakti brought flour and daal for food which would hardly last for a month.  He returned back to his settlement.
“Dada bhai hume zayda kuch nahi mila…bas 40 ser aata aur 20 ser daal mila…”
“Kya?? Yeh toh sirf ek mahine ke liye shesh hai…”
“Haan dada bhai ab pata nahi kya karenge hum…yudh bhi aa raha hai…”
“Hum iss vishay mein Ajabde se baat karenge…veh hi kuch kar sakti hai…”
“Haan dada bhai… bhabhisa kuch upai nikhalegi…”
“Humare paas sena bhi hai aur hume unhe bhi bhojan dena hai…’
“Haan…hum abhi baat karenge…”
In the kitchen,
“Jija ab aap dekhiye na ki Amar kitne bade ho chuke hai ki veh hum sabse baat karne hi nahi aate...jab dekho toh sirf abyaas karte rehte hai…’
“Hum jante hai aur veh toh humse milne aate hi nahi…jab hum milne jaate hai toh tab baat karete hai..”
“Ajabde baisa aap ko rana ji ne unke kuti mein bulaya hai…”
“Ji”
“Hum abhi aate hai…”
“Ji jija…parantu iss vakth rana ji apko kyu bulaya??”
“Phir se…humne kaha na ki kisi baat se pareshan honge aur isliye bhulaya hoga”
“Accha jija aap jayiye…”
In the hut,
“Rana ji apne hume bulaya??”
“Haan Ajab”
“Kya baat hai…aap vichlit lag rahe hai…”
“Ajab baat hi aisi hai…”
“Batayiye toh sahi…”
“Ajab, uss dust Mughal ne Rajutane ke har rajya se sara ann aur daal kareed liya hai aur jab Shakti gaye ann aur daal lane toh unhe 40 ser aata aur 20 ser daal hi mila…”
“Rana ji chinta na karen aap…yeh ek mahine ka aata aur daal ab teen mahine tak chalenga…aap bas rooz kuch pal lane ki vyawasta keren…”
“Parantu Ajab hum ek mahine ke aata aur daal teen mahine tak kaise…”
“Rana ji hum jante hai kya karna hai hume…”
“Kaha jaa rahi hai aap??”
“Chaliye humare saath”
They go to the kitchen where all the ladies were gathered.
“Jija aap…Rana ji??”
“Sabi beheno ko hume kuch kehna hai…”
“Kahiye na jija…”
“Ranimaa sheegr kahiye na aap…”
“Woh aaj se hum stri hafte mein do din vrath rakenge…iska karan hai ki hume ek mahine ke aata aur daal teen mahine tak chalana hai…”
“Hum teen din vrath rakehge…”
“Sabhi stri din mein ek baar roti aur sabzi kayehge aur ek baar pal kayehgi…iska karan hai ki hum stri humare sana aur purush ke liye yudh ladne hetu bhojan dekar unhe shakti shali bana rahe hai…”
“Aur Kiran aap koi vrath nahi rakhengi parantu aap do roti ke jagah par ek roti kahyengi…”
“Jija hume isse koi apathy nahi hai…hum yeh yudh jeetne hetu kuch bhi kar sakte hai…”
“Rana ji ab iss vishay ka samadan mil gaya hai na…”
“Ajabde agar stri itna balidhan de sakti hai toh hum purush bhi teen roti ke sthan par do roti kha sakte hai…”
“Rana ji yeh nahi ho sakta..apko yudh ladna hai..”
“Ajabde yudh ladne ke liye bhojan ki nahi athma shakti ki awashyakata hai…”
“Toh thik hai ab se hum yeh dhyaan mein rak bhojan banayenge…”
“Ajabde apka bahot bahot dhayawad…”

The problem was sorted temporarily. But after three months the problem would be the same.

ROSE DAY Aryan was extremely busy the whole day but one thing he did not forget. His love life was to be the best, thought he.
