CoS-14- A LITTLE CLOSER

It was almost morning by the time the rituals got over. I decided to look through my book instead of wasting my time. I opened the book and reached the wonderland.

This time it was drizzling when I reached. Both were in front of the main door, standing opposite to each other. Her eye looked through his while his eyes looked through her. Both were staring at each other. The eye lock under the droplets of water was so pleasing to see. Both the strangers come friends were enjoying their time all alone in that atmosphere. The only thing missing was the background movies like in Hindi films.

She looked away after a few droplets fell on her body. She was totally awakened by the drops. She moved away but the dogs and cats in the sky increased. He was still busy lost in her. She was aware other surroundings always but this time her eyes missed something or might be someone. It was not me alone watching them secretly but it was his mother witnessing them from the window of her room.

Arey wah yeh toh iss mausam ki pehle bearish hai!!!

Hey bhagwan hume na apse ek dua mangana hai

Puchenge nahi kya dua hai

Toh kahiye kya dua hai?? (A stern voice questioned.)

Arey bhagwan bol rahe hai??

Nahi yeh nahi ho sakta. (She looked around to find no one else other than him)

Haan toh aap hai humse prashna puchne wale

Avashya parantu kisi ko bhi nahi batayiye aur haan agar dua puri hui toh apko ek bada pooja aayojan karna padenga.

She stretched her hand and whished while he stood there seeing her wish.

Hey bhagwan, hume hai na kuch bada nahi chahiye bas ek choti si dua hai yeh. Hume haina yeh jo humare saath kadhe hai veh chahiye. Ab aap jaldi se humari dua pura kijiye.

She told in her mind and went away, no no she went to bring her Lakshmi to play and dance with her. She enjoyed every bit of the surroundings. He stood remembering everything that just happened from the staring contest to the conversation and now to her childish behaviour.

She was completely different from what he had seen about her. Her dual personality surprised him to heights. One side she is calm and quite but on the other side she is completely opposite maybe wild and kiddy. He thought all this but one thought stroke him that is his wish.

Bhagwan, hume nahi pata ki yeh saach hai ya jhut par hum apni mitra par vishwaas kar ek dua apse mangate hai. Yeh dua ek dam choti hai. Humara dua hai ki hume koi isa mile jo humare pure jiwan kal mein humare sath reh sake aur humari dekh baal kar sakhe.

Hey bhagwan agar yeh dua pura ho jaye toh hum apke liye usi ke saath pooja ayojan karenge.

Yeh humara vada raha apse.

He trusted her. He being a prince asked for such a thing surprised me. He too joined in with her along with Chetak.

Both of them all wet and dripping entered the palace and went to their respective rooms to change and have a shower. She came out in a pinky green lehenga and pink dupatta along with no jewellery. She reached the pooja ghar only to find him again. She was lost in her thoughts that why does both of them meet each other every single time. Even though she loved him, she did not want to hang out with always. What will happen if someone gets to know all this was bothering her.

All that was happening had inverse effects on her. She, who used to always support others in their bad times, is losing hope. No matter what her dream was not going to come true was her assumption.

This hand he was busy remembering all the events that took place as though he was a historian calculating everything and trying to figure out the time line. Not remembering but was mesmerizing all that happened today. It was just a matter of few minutes but it was affecting him badly. He was thinking about the wish he asked in the first rain. He never knew the reason why he did so.

One sitting and one standing in god’s house were thinking about each other. Now both had grown feelings for each other in some corner of their heart and destiny wanted something that was stated impossible was going to be changed.

Both’s eyes met each other like telling ‘Hi’ and looked away. They exchanged glances, she did the pooja and recited some mantras and showed him the aarti taal whereas he quietly took the Prasad and walked past her. Both now preferred to be alone, away from each other and do what mattered to them.

She knew something so will happen so she at the first itself tried to stay away from him but no her heart did not allow that. Some things cannot be changed so both gave each other time.

At the night he was busy sharpening his sword thinking about her. This side she was preparing food and thinking about him. For her it was something old- maybe a few days old but for him these new feelings were totally new. He had not developed feeling for anyone in his life, she also was the same but these feelings were old for her.

Toh gaur se suniye, hum samjh chuke hai apke bawanaye. Humne dekh bhi liya hai apme bhi unme bhi.

Ek kshan, aap kiske baare mein baat kar rahi hai??

Aap zyaada bola mat baniye. Hum Ajabde ke baare mein baat kar rahe hai

Apko bhi pata chal gaya?

Kya matlab iska?? Sabko pata hai??

Nahi ranimaa, humne socha ki sirf Chetak ko pata chal gaya parantu apko bhi

Ranimaa apko hume dekhkar hasi aa rahi hai??

Nahi nahi, hum toh isliye has rahe hai ki aap apni maa se apne man ki baate batane se sharma rahe hai

Ranimaa, aap batayiye ki apko kya samjh aya??

Haan toh hum yeh keh rahe the ki hume Ajabde pasand hai aur haan yeh bhi sach hai ki hume hi nahi apko bhi who pasand hai!!

Kaise keh sakte hai aap aise?

Humne dekha na apko, agar apko abhi bhi yeh satya nahi laga toh aap kuch aur din rukh jayiye aur dekh lijiye.

Ranimaa hume aap par vishwas hai

Hum jante hai par yeh ek dosti ka sawaal hai aur agar hum galat huye toh apki dosti tut jayegi. Isliye aap intezaar kijiye.

Now slowly the story is revealing. The book took me back and I was left back in that small suffocating room.
